Stephen Paul Samuel is a native of Rome, Ga., and is the son of Willie M. Samuel and the late Paul E. Samuel.  He received his early education in the Rome City School System and later graduated with honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., obtaining a B.A. in African American Studies.

Reverend Samuel accepted the call to the Gospel ministry in August 1995, and was ordained in May 1999, under the leadership of Reverend Nim B. David Horton of Miami, Fla., the late Reverend Doctor Willie J. Sanders of Trenton, N.J., as well as his pastor Reverend Russell.  Rev. Samuel also shared his gifts and talents through his work with the 7th District Baptist Association of Georgia, Seaboard Baptist Association of Florida, the Middlesex Central Baptist Association of New Jersey, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, as well as a host of other Christian education programs.

In May 2002, Reverend Samuel obtained a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J.  During the same month Reverend Samuel accepted God’s call to become the 2nd Pastor of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Trenton, N.J., where he served for five years.

As Reverend Samuel travels the path of God in ministry he has the privilege of enjoying the companionship of his wife, the former Helen Triscilla Cosby, who is affectionately known as “Trish”.  They were married June 16, 2001, and blessed with their first child, Paris Simone Samuel, on April 13, 2004.
